Through its interest-free loan program, Akhuwat has disbursed over PKR 1.3 billion to support differently abled individuals. With 35,894 interest-free loans granted, countless lives have been transformed, allowing people to create sustainable livelihoods and break free from the cycle of poverty.
One such inspiring story is that of Ms. Uzma, who, despite being differently abled, runs a school as its principal. Reflecting on her journey, she shares:
"When I started this school, I was constantly worried about providing books for the students. I had to borrow money from others, often struggling with repayments. A friend recommended Akhuwat's interest-free loans. This loan was of great benefit, as I was able to ensure my students received their books on time. The girls studying here today will pass this knowledge on to their children, inculcating good values and creating a brighter future."
